Seminar: Peace and the environment
Occasionally, the Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded for extraordinary efforts to promote environmental research or policies. By doing so, the Norwegian Nobel Committee seems to have acknowledged that a relationship exists between peace and the environment. This thematic day addresses aspects of this possible relationship – which remains disputed – through two keynote lectures, four brief talks, and a panel debate. The committee has consisted of Jon Hovi, Brynjar Lia og Nikolai Kristoffersen Winge.
